On 26 th June 2018, Amb. Rukia Subow, Dean of Africa Group of Ambassador and

All Africans acknowledge with great pride that the continent has come a
long way since that day, 55 Years ago, in Ethiopia when just a few countries
met and founded the African Union.
The term “Africa Rising” is evidence of marked difference between the
Africa that was born out of colonialism, the continent of our grand patents,
the 20th Century of our parents to today’s 21st Century of our children.
Today’s Africa has a focus with enthusiasms centred on great plans and
visions for our great continent such as; the Agenda 2063; the Agreement
Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA).
Iran and Africa have had cordial ties dating back many centuries. African
and Iranian trader exchanged goods and services as part of the silk route
extending from Mozambique through Iranian ports to China.
African countries and Iran have signed many agreements touching on many
sectors such as, health, education science and technology, agriculture and
many others for mutual benefit.
